Four new entrepreneurs pitch the wealthy investors, hoping to fund their business dreams and get a partnership with a Shark. Lauren Padawer introduces the Sharks to her business, the Alaska Glacial Mud Company, a line of skin care products with all natural ingredients based on hand harvested, glacial mud from the Copper River Delta in Alaska. Michael Barzman and Bryan O’Connell, co-founders of InvisiPlug, pitch their line of wooden power strips that give style conscious consumers a more decorative option. Also appearing is Ben Alexander, an entrepreneur who thinks his Balloon Distractions business is a Shark Tank shoe-in. Greg Cronin pitches LockerBones, a locker organizer he made to help his daughter keep things neat and tidy at school.

Follow up segments featuring past Shark Tank success stories are a regular feature on Shark Tank.  Episode 514 updates fans on Trew Quackenbush and Corey Ward, founders of grilled cheese restaurant franchise Tom and Chee, who got a deal with  Mark and Barbara in season four, episode 424.

The Shark Investors negotiate on the spot without any previous information, which differs from typical negotiations between venture capital investors and entrepreneurial start-ups.
