Mark Cuban stopped by his hometown on November 5, 2025, with a clear message for aspiring business owners. He said the next wave of successful entrepreneurs will need to understand artificial intelligence to stay ahead.
Young entrepreneurs hoping to succeed in the coming years can’t afford to ignore AI. It has already become a core part of how companies operate and grow.
Mark Cuban Talks Future of AI at the Global Impact Forum
Mark Cuban closed out the Global Impact Forum as the final speaker. The event ran for several days and focused on how artificial intelligence and automation are changing education and economic growth.
Cuban spoke about the promise of new technology but said it needs to connect better with younger people. He believes helping them understand and use AI early will shape the future workforce.
The fan favorite Shark Tank investor also shared that he wants to see AI platforms like ChatGPT and Gemini have a kids-centric interface. He explained that giving young people safe, age-appropriate access to these tools could help them discover new interests.
Adding on that, Mark said that even a student in a low-income school could start thinking like an entrepreneur if they can access AI through a shared computer or a phone at home.
“The greatest skill an entrepreneur can have is curiosity. That’s what these large language models, these foundational models, can do for your kids.”
Mark Cuban’s AI Bootcamp Aims to Prepare Teens for the Future
Just a week before his visit, the Mark Cuban Foundation announced that its upcoming AI Bootcamp for high school students will take place at Carlow University in Pittsburgh.
The program is meant to introduce teens to the basics of artificial intelligence and show them how the technology can be used in different kinds of jobs and industries.
AI Bootcamp gives students from low-income or overlooked communities a chance to explore the basics of artificial intelligence. The program covers key topics like computer vision, natural language processing, and machine learning, and it’s open to beginners with no prior coding skills.
Mark Cuban previously elaborated on the idea by saying, “There’s so much change that’s happening on an ongoing basis, and that’s the whole point of trying to understand how it impacts kids, schools and the workplace because when something changes rapidly, it creates unlimited opportunity.”
Why Every Graduate Needs to Learn AI
Earlier this year, Mark Cuban had a few words of wisdom to impart for the upcoming generation in the age of AI. He pointed out how the fresh college graduates of today will probably struggle to get a job because of AI.
He said, “The small to medium-sized companies need all the help they can get from AI natives. Because walking in and understanding AI and being able to implement it for that company is a huge step forward for them. So I think that’s one way we will adjust.”
He then emphasized the importance of learning the tricks of the AI trade. “There’s no better time to be in college or just graduating than right now, because you have more resources available to you in your phone than anybody in the history of everything.”
He went on to add, “If you want to be an entrepreneur, if you want to do whatever it is, you have every expert that’s right there available to you.”
Embracing AI as a Skill
The future belongs to those who understand AI. It is not just about coders or tech founders anymore. The world is changing fast, and AI is at the center of it (for now). Experience alone won’t remain a key advantage when AI can replicate years of knowledge instantly.
Mark Cuban is not giving the boomer advice of fear about what’s coming. On the contrary, he’s asking people to tap into it and lock in. Whether you’re a student, a young professional, or someone starting fresh, the tools to learn and build are already within reach.
