Christine Jurzenski from Lake Tahoe and Erica Schultz from San Diego entered the stage on Shark Tank Season 17. They pitched a wellness product made to help with a common health problem many women face. Their brand, Cranel, caught the Sharks’ attention with a concentrated cranberry shot.

The shot is designed to help prevent urinary tract infections (UTIs). The founders call it “liquid gold for health.” Each shot delivers the power of thousands of cranberries.

But the big question remained. Would the Sharks take a shot at this very tart health drink, or pass?

About Cranel

Category Details
Business Name Cranel
Founders Christine Jurzenski and Erica Schultz
Industry Health and Wellness
Product Concentrated cranberry wellness shots
Investment Asked $250,000 for 7% equity
Deal Status No Deal
Valuation $3.57 million

Cranel uses a science-based cranberry formula. The shots contain proanthocyanidin (PAC) compounds that stop harmful bacteria from sticking to the urinary tract.

The founders say many cranberry drinks on the market are not helpful. Some have too much sugar. Others do not have enough of the active ingredient.

They suggest drinking one shot per week for urinary health. Some customers drink it more often based on their needs, as it also supports gut, skin, and muscle health.

Cranel Shark Tank Pitch

Christine and Erica entered the Tank for $250,000 in exchange for a 7% equity. This values their company at around $3.57 million.

They invited the Sharks to try it.

The reaction was immediate. Several Sharks made dramatic “tart faces” after tasting the drink. One Shark even called the flavor “disgusting.” The founders laughed and responded confidently, saying, “It’s gross… it works, baby.”

The founders shared that Cranel has made $3.5 million in total sales since it started. Their revenue grew from $47,000 in 2021 to $447,000 in 2022, and then to $1.3 million in 2023.

They projected about $2 million in revenue for 2026.

The Sharks were concerned when the founders revealed they spent $500,000 on advertising in 2025. Christine said that their marketing mainly depends on social media.

Cranel’s most popular four-pack sells for $15. Each bottle costs $2.14 to make with a 55% margin.

What Makes Cranel Unique?

There are several reasons why Cranel stands out in the wellness beverage market:

  • Each Cranel shot has 3,000 cranberries.
  • The product has 500 mg of PACs compared to other cranberry drinks or supplements.
  • Delivers the strength of about 60 bottles of cranberry juice in one serving.

The founders tested Cranel for muscle-recovery polyphenols. It’s 12 times stronger than tart cherry juice in that category.

Did Cranel Get a Deal on Shark Tank?

No, the Sharks began dropping out one by one.

Lori Greiner said she would use the product herself, but it’s not the right investment.

Robert Herjavec worried about the company’s marketing plan and future growth, so he was out.

Fawn Weaver thought the company would spend too much money teaching people why this cranberry shot is different from regular juice, so she stepped back.

Finally, Daniel Lubetzky said he liked the product, but the business was not the right fit for his portfolio.

With every Shark dropping out, Cranel left the Tank without a deal.

In a humorous moment after the founders’ exit, Daniel joked that in 17 years of Shark Tank, it might be the first time entrepreneurs left before hearing Kevin O’Leary say he was out.

Cranel Shark Tank Update

Cranel had already generated over $3.5 million in lifetime revenue by 2026 through social media presence and a viral marketing strategy.

As the brand grows, Christine and Erica plan to expand their lineup with additional women’s health wellness products.

Where Can You Buy It?

Customers can purchase Cranel shots directly from the company’s official website, where the brand sells both individual bottles and multi-pack bundles.

The founders advise one shot per week for urinary health, although some customers use it frequently.
