Rebecca Dallman and Jena Butler wanted the Sharks to see the untapped value of unclaimed packages as a surprising unboxing experience for even those who seem to โ€œhave everything.โ€

Despite initial skepticism over the non-proprietary concept and lack of exclusive access, the lifetime sales of around $14,000,000 put Sharks on the edge of their seats to secure the deal.

Daniel Lubetzky competed to partner with MrBeast on this deal, and the founders gave their best to stay focused amid multiple counteroffers and Sharks combinations. Would they be able to secure a reasonable equity deal with their dream Sharks?

Foundersโ€™ Backstory

Rebecca Dallman and Jena Butler are a married couple from Ocala, Florida. Despite having no experience in e-commerce or retail, they pivoted from running a medical cleaning business to selling mystery packages in 2021.

The founders tested the idea by selling packages at a garage sale, and realized the surprise of opening unknown packages could itself be the product.

Product Overview

Fundelivered is a Florida-based mystery box product that collects goods that wouldโ€™ve been disposed of in a landfill and turns them into unique surprises for people.

The product aims to become the perfect stop to celebrate any occasion with friends or coworkers while sharing a hearty laugh.

Fundelivered Shark Tank Pitch

Rebecca Dallman and Jena Butler came to Shark Tank seeking $400,000 for 10% of the company. The Sharks enjoyed receiving their own mystery boxes to such an extent that Daniel even wore his gift!

The founders shared interesting statistics: 5 million pounds of unused products end up in landfills despite having no defects. Therefore, they believe the mystery boxes would help reduce negative ecological impact.

Sharks got even more interested after the founders floated the idea of putting established brands in the mystery boxes that Sharks invested in. Lori exclaimed that she could see hundreds of her entrepreneursโ€™ products in those mystery boxes.

After hearing about 2025 sales of about $5,050,000 and no customer acquisition cost, MrBeast praised the entrepreneurโ€™s resourcefulness and social media strategy.

However, Kevin Oโ€™Leary remained rigid on the fact that there was nothing proprietary about their business to prevent competition, and the high valuation would take a long time for him to see financial upside.

What Makes Fundelivered Unique?

Fundelivered aims to reduce waste by turning returned goods and extra stock into mystery boxes.

  • Eco-friendly: The company aims to reduce waste by purchasing unsold stock and goods that were lost in the shipping process.
  • Convenient: Fundelivered is a great option for a workplace setting or an event with friends to surprise them instead of spending hours deciding on gifts for everyone.

Did Fundelivered Get a Deal on Shark Tank?

Lori Greiner and MrBeast offered a deal of $400,000 for 20% equity in the company. Lori saw the long-term vision of cross-promoting her other entrepreneurs through these mystery boxes, and the value MrBeastโ€™s social platforms can bring to reach the target customer base.

Before committing to the investment, MrBeast was curious to know why they even neededt a Shark in the first place, as they already have great numbers.ย

The entrepreneur stressed the need to scale the brand exponentially, as the concept is not proprietary and can be easily copied by a bigger brand or e-commerce platforms.

Daniel was equally eager about the concept of mystery boxes and chimed in with two possible deals: $400,000 for 20% along with MrBeast, or $600,000 for 30% with all three Sharks.

MrBeast felt he was in the middle of a Shark Tank bidding war between Daniel and Lori.

After hearing the foundersโ€™ counter of $600,000 for 24%, Daniel said if they didnโ€™t want to part with a lot of equity, they could just do the deal with Lori and MrBeast.

Without missing out on the opportunity to make the revised offer more complicated, MrBeast decided to match the $600,000 for 24% equity with Lori, and they secured the deal.
