Irish entrepreneurial duo Paul Convey and Enda Crowley came to the Tank in Season 16, Episode 6. Their pitch was built around their business idea of portable backyard bars.

The portable backyard bar business is built for anyone who likes spending time at home with friends and family while sharing a drink. The duo’s love for drinks and social gatherings pushed them to design a backyard bar.

Taverns-To-Go comes straight to your home and can be put together in under ninety minutes, turning a regular backyard into a cozy place to relax and celebrate. They have more than 25 models to choose from. They started in 2020 and had $2.2 million in sales at the time of the pitch.

How Taverns-To-Go Works

The setup is made for people who enjoy having friends and family over (more than going out).

Taverns-To-Go is delivered right to your doorstep and can be assembled in an hour and a half. It turns a simple backyard into a laid-back place to gather and enjoy. Customers can also customize and tailor the bar to their taste and occasion.

The demand for outdoor social spaces and backyard bar setups has climbed since the pandemic. That is exactly when the company started in 2020.

People started putting more money into making their yards a comfortable place to relax because so much time was spent at home. Many people prefer making their yards a comfortable place to relax, which is exactly what the company capitalized on.

Taverns-To-Go Shark Tank Recap

Irish-born Crowley and Convey brought Taverns-To-Go to the Shark Tank in Season 16. They came in asking for $400,000 in exchange for 10% of their company. This placed their valuation at $4 million.

They walked the panel through their star product, the Castlebar Deluxe Backyard Bar. It sells for $3,795, with production costs around $2,000. This leaves them with a strong margin on each sale.

The founders further stirred the Shank Tank waters when they shared their numbers. They brought in $2.2 million in revenue in 2024 and maintained margins in the thirty to forty percent range.

Kevin O’Leary showed early interest and wanted to ride the Irish wave of entrepreneurs. He put an offer of $400,000 on the table in return for a third of the business.

Lori Greiner stepped in with a different proposal. She offered the same amount for 15% along with a royalty of $30 per unit until she recouped $600,000.

Enda and Paul did not partner up with their fellow Irishman, Mr. Wonderful, and decided to go ahead with Lori.

Lori Greiner’s Backyard Bar Success Story

After their Shark Tank appearance, Taverns-To-Go saw a sharp rise in visitors to their site and much more activity on social platforms. Partnering with the Queen of QVC brought them extra attention and opened doors to wider distribution and stronger promotional campaigns.

Post-Show Expansion

Spreading out manufacturing sites in Paterson (New Jersey), Tampa (Florida), and South San Francisco (California) gave them the ability to ship across the country with shorter wait times and smoother delivery.

They also added partners, such as At Home Recreation in Hazlet, New Jersey, and online storefronts like Etsy, giving them access to a wider customer base.

Most buyers shared positive comments about the product. A few people online questioned the price compared with hiring a local builder, but apart from that, overall interest in the brand continued to climb.

They’ve already completed over four thousand builds nationwide. The company has also introduced payment plans, making it easier for customers to invest in the setup that suits their home.

Taverns-To-Go held an estimated value of $4.26 million by 2025. The company is also on track to pass $10 million in total revenue, according to the founders. This steady rise has placed it among Lori Greiner’s more successful investments.

The Road Ahead for Taverns-To-Go

Portable bars of Taverns-To-Go have carved and settled into their own lane, and the founders have built a strong momentum since appearing on the show.

Paul and Enda tapped into a lifestyle many people enjoy, and their growth shows how well the idea connects with customers. Teaming up with Lori only strengthened their path forward.
