Nelson Brooks came on the Tank seeking $225,000 in exchange for a 10% stake in his brand, further valuing the brand at $2.25 million.

He presented live experience to the Sharks by offering Rashaun a Vodka Martini, a Tipsy Cabana Boy for Kevin and Lori, and a Nashville experience to Kendra and Robert. Undoubtedly, it was an excellent presentation, and all the Sharks loved it.

Of course, after a wonderful experience, the Sharks wanted to know the financials. Nelson told the cost of Kendra’s birthday party, which was $80 per hour per bartender. He also shared that the most popular party was in Scottsdale and cost $550.

Robert Herjavec asked about his profit. Nelson shared that they currently have a 57% profit margin, lifetime sales of $3.6 million, and in 2025, they made $567,000.

Furthermore, he said he lost $146,000 in 2024 because the brand hired a growth marketer who provided no services. Also, he spent on advertising and digital marketing that yielded zero return on investment (ROI).

Nevertheless, when Robert heard about the money that they lost in 2024, he was no longer enthusiastic about the brand. So, he did not want to invest in a services-based company, and he bowed out of the deal.

Kevin O’Leary was concerned about the scalability issue and decided to withdraw from the deal negotiations. Similarly, Lori Greiner told the founder that, in her view, he does not need an investment. So, she stayed out of the deal.

Rashaun Williams, too, bowed out because he simply could not understand the services business. Now all the eyes were on Kendra Scott, and she offered a deal, but at a lower valuation. Consequently, she offered $225,000 in exchange for a 40% stake in the company.

After the negotiations, Kendra dropped the equity to 32%. Hence, the deal was secured at $225,000 in exchange for a 32% stake in the brand.

Cabana Boys Events Shark Tank Update

After the episode aired, Cabana Boys Events got more visibility. Also, as they secured a deal with Kendra Scott, they are now on track to launch services in all the above-mentioned locations by using the code Shark Tank.
