Like Joshua, millions of people across the globe suffer from nose bleeding. So, initially, the idea struck as a joke about using tampons, but eventually Joshua commenced Nampons from his house in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Nampons are sterile plugs made of oxidized cellulose, and when you slide them inside your nostril, they expand, further accelerating the clotting. Moreover, to use a Nampon, people do not need gloves or any medical training. They just have to open and insert it and then wait until the bleeding stops.

Joshua Lippiner came in seeking $350,000 in exchange for a 5% stake in his brand, further valuing the company at $7 million. He presented the product to the Sharks, asking them to drop blue water on Nampons and see how it expands and absorbs.
Most of the Sharks, especially Lori Greiner, appreciated the product after watching the real experiment.
Besides that, Michael Strahan asked if they have a patent, but the founder responded that they have the IP and trademarks on the design, but no patent. However, he shared that new products are going to come soon, including Nampons Sport. It will help players to plug in and still go back in the game and breathe.
Furthermore, a 12-pack box retails for $24.99, and the six-pack, which is their bestseller, retails for $15.99. The landing cost of the six-pack box was $3.61, while the 12-pack box cost $7.86. When Robert Herjavec asked about the sales, the Sharks were shocked to hear the figure.
Launched in 2021, the brand earned a revenue of $3.4 million in 2024 and $1 million in 2023. In 2025, they are projected to earn $3.8 million by the year’s end.
Also, when Robert asked about the growth trajectory, the founder replied that Nampons made $2 million in 2024 from D2C (Direct-to-Consumer), and was on track to make $3 million in 2025.
Later, Joshua shared with Kevin O’Leary that in 2024 they made a net profit of $800,000, but in 2025 they are expected to generate $200,000. Though the financials looked strong, Kevin and other investors were skeptical about the valuation.

What Makes Nampons Unique?
There are various reasons why Nampons are different from other alternatives to stop nose bleeding. Let’s look at some of those:

Kevin O’Leary, as mentioned above, was not sure about the valuation of $7 million and bluntly stated that the maximum valuation of the brand should be around $2 million. So, he decided to stay out of the deal. Similarly, Lori Greiner agreed with Kevin, and she too bowed out of the negotiations.
Later, Barbara Corcoran also backed out of the deal because she was on the same page as Kevin and Lori. Markedly, Robert Herjavec liked the narrow niche the brand is covering and offered $350K in exchange for a 25% stake. Meanwhile, Michael also showed interest in joining Robert for the same deal.
Interestingly, here comes the twist: when the founder said that he would like to go for royalty. Of course, this offer made Kevin come back to the negotiating table, and he offered $350K in exchange for 7.5% plus $0.10 royalty on each piece sold until he recoups $500K.

Hence, Joshua secured a deal with Robert Herjavec and Michael Strahan on the same terms.
