With Mark Cuban’s departure, Shark Tank Season 17 premiere is set to have some unforeseen sights for its fans. Loyal viewers of the show are anxious/eager to see how the show will carry on without one of its biggest personalities, who has left the Tank after Shark Tank Season 16.
With the Shark Tank Season 17 around the corner, a few hints about what’s coming next have already started to slip out.
Updates on Shark Tank Season 17 Premiere
The Sharks and the deals for the new season are expected to roll down the screens starting from Wednesday, September 24, 2025. A scheduling change has moved the show to Wednesday nights, from its earlier Friday evening time slot.
Description for the new season is out as per TV Insider, which reads, “The Sharks – tough, self-made, multimillionaire and billionaire tycoons — will continue their search to invest in the best businesses and products that America has to offer, and will once again give people from all walks of life the chance to chase the American dream and potentially secure business deals that could make them millionaires.”
Shark Tank Season 17 Cast/Judges
The pre-existing Shark Tank’s cast of judges, comprising the series originals Daymond John, Barbara Corcoran, Robert Herjavec, and Kevin O’Leary will be returning. All except Mark Cuban. New joiners who became regulars, i.e, Lori Greiner and Daniel Lubetzky, are also returning.
Guest Sharks for Shark Tank Season 17
Apart from the regular team of judges, Shark Tank also has a long-standing tradition of guest Sharks appearing on the show. For this upcoming season, the guest judges panel includes:
Chip and Joanna Gaines
Remember the couple from the HGTV show Fixer Upper? That’s them. They have also built their company, called Magnolia, into a thriving lifestyle brand across home design, retail, media, and hospitality sectors.
The power couple has a great eye for design and a clear sense of branding. They’ve also built and run several businesses, which makes them an interesting addition to the panel.
Alexis Ohanian
Alexis Ohanian initially came to success as the co-founder of Reddit. After that, he started his successful investing journey through his firm Seven Seven Six. On that tangent, Ohanian has supported a variety of startups in tech, sports, and beyond.
Kendra Scott
Kendra Scott started her own design company, called Kendra Scott Design, Inc., from just $500 in Austin, Texas, in 2002. Today, it has turned into a billion-dollar brand. Kendra is known for her strong retail presence, clubbed with good design and a supportive work environment.
Her story of building a business from the ground up (much like Barbara, who also started from a loan of $1000) makes her a natural fit for the show.
Michael Strahan
Michael Strahan made his name on the football field with a 15-year career at the New York Giants. After retiring, he transitioned into the playing fields of television and business.
He has his own brand for custom suits called Michael Strahan Design Lab and a production company called SMAC Entertainment. Michael will be a fun addition to the Tank, considering his varied experiences in sports, media and entrepreneurship.
Allison Ellsworth
Allison Ellsworth turned her idea for a gut-friendly soda called Poppi into a fast-growing brand that’s now outselling Pepsi and Coca-Cola on Amazon. Poppi started out from Allison’s kitchen, and today it is available in all major retail stores.
Fawn Weaver
Fawn Weaver, the founder and CEO of Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey, has built the fastest-growing whiskey brand in the United States. She’s now taking the company into the world of cognac, expanding its reach even further.
She holds the distinction of being the first black woman to lead a major spirits company.
Rashaun Williams
Rashaun Williams is a venture capitalist who has backed more than 150 companies. He is known for helping athletes and entertainers turn their success into smart investments.
On top of that, he is also a partner at the Atlanta Falcons and the founder of his family office, i.e, the Value Investment Group. Williams has a knack for spotting opportunities and guiding people toward building lasting wealth.
The Shark Tank Must Swim On Without Mark Cuban
Many familiar faces are returning, but Mark Cuban’s absence leaves big shoes to fill. He brought a mix of sharp instincts and bold bets that kept things unpredictable; the Tank won’t feel quite the same without him.
