His YouTube videos show how, based on his fetish for watches, Kevin does not care about prices. The Shark investor recently appeared on a podcast with authorized watch dealer Teddy Baldassarre.
A video clip of the podcast, as uploaded on Kevin’s YouTube, showed that the Shark visited Teddy’s Ohio store, which had luxury watches like Seiko, Zenith, and OMEGA. In the video, the Shark investor said that he wanted Teddy to show him some ‘crazy’ and ‘eclectic’ pieces, regardless of the rate.
The watch dealer then presented him with the ‘cheapest’ piece on the table – Seiko. Describing it to be a ‘Metronome’ watch, Teddy said that its price was $200.
Kevin O’Leary’s Thoughts On Seiko Watches
After Teddy Baldassarre completed his presentation, a delighted Kevin O’Leary said, ‘What a great gift, right?’ Teddy continued the chat by describing that the Seiko watch could tune instruments. Describing better, he said this ‘quartz’ watch made a musical sound if the speed of its hands increased.
Intrigued with the amazing features, Kevin O’Leary again stated that ‘It is a great piece of electronic watch.’ Further, the Shark investor said that the Metronome Seiko watch reminded him of ‘people having fun with quartz movements.’ So, the fact that this watch had a similar feature made Kevin find the piece ‘very cool.’
When the Shark investor asked if the Seiko watch could be found anywhere, Teddy replied that as it was a JDM model, he could buy it overseas. Furthermore, one could find this watch in different dial colors.
Commenting about Kevin’s thoughts on using Seiko watches as a gifting option, Teddy said it was a great gift option for music lovers.
Based on these plenty of features and a price of $200, Kevin O’Leary thought Seiko watches are a smart investment.
