Shark Tank Season 7 Episode 4: Windcatcher, Rent Like a Champion & More

Drew Mitchell and Mike Doyle pitch Rent Like a Champion, the AirBnB for college football fans, seeking an investment to expand their growing national, niche housing business. Rent Like a Champion is the only business in episode 704 that didn’t do a Kickstarter campaign. Danny Grossfeld hopes to get a shot in the arm for HotShot, his ready to drink hot coffee in an aluminum can business. Grossfeld had an unsuccessful Kickstarter bid back in the spring of 2015. Ryan Frayne hopes to inflate the value of his business, Windcatcher – a special valve that can effortlessly inflate everything from air mattresses to bouncy houses. Frayne raised $149,405 on Kickstarter back in 2013. Sisters and educators Lavanya and Melissa Jawaharlal are looking to the Sharks to help them grow Stem Center USA, their after school education program that teaches science, technology, engineering, and math with a true hands-on approach. The young women raised over $100K in 2014 on Kickstarter to fund their educational robotics kit called the PI Robot.

The Shark Investors negotiate on the spot without any previous information, which differs from typical negotiations between venture capital investors and entrepreneurial start-ups.
